A sovereign chain is an independent blockchain that maintains its own security and consensus while connecting to the broader Autheo ecosystem through Layer-0 interoperability. Unlike Layer-2 solutions that depend on a parent chain for security, sovereign chains operate autonomously with their own validator sets and governance structures. In the Autheo model, sovereign chains benefit from shared infrastructure services (identity, compute, storage, AI) provided by the Layer-0 OS while retaining full control over their own execution environment, consensus parameters, and application logic.
