Control Plane (Autheo)

Definition

The coordination layer of Autheo's developer platform that discovers resources, applies policy, schedules workloads, monitors capacity, and coordinates the marketplace between infrastructure providers and applications.

Last updated: April 2026Reviewed by: Autheo Technical Team

The control plane is how Autheo turns a distributed mesh of independently owned infrastructure into a single, programmable platform. It sits above the compute, edge, and mesh fabric and below the developer-facing APIs, SDKs, and CLI tools. Its responsibilities span the full mesh-to-marketplace lifecycle: discovery, identity, authentication, policy enforcement, scheduling, marketplace matching, execution, and settlement. Developers interact with the control plane indirectly through DevHub, APIs, and SDKs rather than managing infrastructure directly.
