THEO is planned to power decentralized compute through the Autheo Marketplace as the distributed compute marketplace rolls out on mainnet over the coming months. Decentralized compute is designed to support verifiable, fault-tolerant compute for dApps, AI workloads, and backend services.
Autheo's decentralized compute layer, delivered through the Autheo Marketplace, is designed to let developers deploy compute workloads, from smart contract execution to AI inference, as it rolls out. Planned compute consumers will pay THEO for resource usage, while validators and compute contributors will earn THEO as compensation.
Unlike cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) where compute costs are centrally priced and availability is controlled by a single entity, Autheo's planned decentralized compute marketplace through the Autheo Marketplace is designed to be permissionless. Qualified validators will be able to offer compute capacity, while developers will be able to purchase it. THEO AI is planned to support workload allocation and resource pricing as these layers roll out.
THEO tokens used for future decentralized compute payments through the Autheo Marketplace are planned to be partially redistributed to the validator and compute provider ecosystem. As Autheo's application ecosystem grows, decentralized compute demand through the Autheo Marketplace is intended to create an additional, market-driven revenue stream for node operators.
